Biography

Cecilia leads our ESG work with clients in Europe. She has 20 years of experience in international, EU, and UK public and regulatory affairs. Her past roles include CEO of the Actuarial Association of Europe and Head of International Relations for the Financial Reporting Council, a UK government regulator and standard setter in the areas of corporate governance, audit, accounting/ESG/financial reporting, stewardship, and actuarial policy. In this role she was in charge of developing the FRC’s international/EU strategy and influencing legislative, policy, and regulatory developments in the EU, US, and the wider international community. Prior to this, she was an ESG/CSR senior policy advisor in the global head office of ACCA in London and a senior consultant for Weber Shandwick and EPPA, advising multinational companies, trade associations, and EU/international institutions on EU affairs and policy. She has also been the acting Secretary General of a European business association.

Cecilia holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Westminster, United Kingdom, and a master’s degree in European Studies (law, political science) from the University of Leuven (K.U. Leuven), Belgium. She speaks English, Swedish, and French.
