Richard Goldsmith

Richard is chief financial officer at Penta Group, managing the financial operations of a rapidly scaling, global business. Richard is responsible for maximizing shareholder value, overseeing the finance team, integrating acquisitions, and managing financial reporting and compliance.

Previously, Richard was CFO at alva, where his responsibilities included building out operational resilience, HR, raising capital,and preparing the business for exit. After four years in the role, Richard coordinated a successful sale process, which resulted in an exit to US private equity.

Prior to that, Richard was chief financial officer of Quintessentially, managing the financial operations of a global business with more than 60 offices worldwide and total annual revenue in excess of £60m. Richard also worked at Shed Media, part of Time Warner Inc., which is one of the UK’s leading television production companies.

Richard trained as an accountant at BDO and is a Fellow of the ICAEW. He holds a BEng (Hons.) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He lives in London and is married with two children.
