Robin Hamman is a partner at Penta where he is responsible for leading and coordinating digital and social media strategy work for clients, predominantly in EMEA and APAC. This includes data gathering and analysis, strategy development, brand positioning, design and build, and social media activations across organic and paid media.
Previously, he headed up Hume Brophy’s Digital team as well as working for other agencies. He has led global digital and social media programmes for FTSE 100 / Fortune 500 brands across aviation, agri-foods, energy, financial services, and professional services. He has also worked with governments, international organisations, and NGOs. Prior to agency roles, Robin was at the BBC where he led the introduction of a variety of audience interaction platforms used by millions of visitors every day.
A published academic with three post-graduate qualifications, Robin has over 20 years’ experience at the forefront of the industry and has been a visiting fellow at numerous universities including City University London and Stanford University. He continues to teach part-time on Boston University’s London study abroad programme.
Originally from Illinois, Robin moved to the UK in the 1990s, originally to pursue a career as a research sociologist. He lives in St. Albans, a small city just outside London.
