Biography

Alan brings to the Penta Group 20+ years of providing data-driven, agile, actionable counsel to Fortune 500 clients focused on corporate communications, executive thought leadership, earned media, brand, positioning, and reputation. Alan started his career working in corporate communications strategy roles in-house (Bell Canada) before moving into media analysis-related roles (Cormex: acquired by RepTrak, Carma Global Media Intelligence) and analytics roles with agencies including Hill & Knowlton, FleishmanHillard, and, most recently Real Chemistry (formerly the W2O Group).

Alan has a masters degree in communications and culture with research specializing in media effects, audience studies, reception analysis, and communications measurement. Alan created and taught postgraduate-level courses in PR measurement and stakeholder relationship management. Alan is a member of The Institute for Public Relations’ Measurement Commission and is a PR News Measurement Hall-of-Famer.
