Camilo Blanco Vargas

Camilo is the Chief Operating Officer for Intelligence at Penta, overseeing the Project Management Office and operations whilst helping to lead a data-driven culture of continuous and rapid innovation.

He brings with him a wealth of experience both in start-up and scale-up environments, having orchestrated engineering projects, critical software development and product management in various industries. Most recently, he facilitated product-led growth in multiple areas in his role as COO at alva, whilst also developing project management and delivery strategies for both technical and non-technical audiences to drive business growth.

Alongside this, he also adds extensive technical expertise from his work as CTO in several companies, where he helped mitigate uncertainty in the roll-out of critical deliverables and influenced key stakeholders to secure buy-in to technology innovation.

Before moving to London in 2019, he had over a decade of entrepreneurial experience, using his skills to facilitate seamless business operations and translated ambitious visions into strategies delivering 20+ complex, high-impact and multimillion-dollar real estate development and technology projects. He also enhanced business performance, aided strategic decision-making, offered expert judgment of financial issues, and developed complex financial management methodologies and models alongside cash-flow monitoring.

Camilo is passionate about solving complex problems using new technologies and has a strong knowledge of software development and delivery processes. He is a results-driven
team player with outstanding strategy and communication skills.
